Intake

intakeSouth Fork's intake structure is located on the Clackamas river at river mile 1.5.  The facility includes four raw water pumps and miscellanous accessory equipment.  The two larger pumps have a capacity of 10 million gallons a day, while the two smaller pumps have a capacity of 4 millsion gallons a day.

Raw water from the river is screened to remove leaves and other debris and then pumped through a 27-inch diameter concrete cylinder pipe about 1850 feet to the water treatment plant where it is treated.
